Class 3 pupils at Capel-le-Ferne primary school have recorded their own ‘Noun Rap’ to help improve their story writing. The children who are 7 and 8 years old were invited to a professional recording studio run by St. Edmunds secondary school in Dover. Class teacher, James Blomfield said, “This was an amazing trip for the children and they really enjoyed recording their rap. The studio at St. Edmunds is incredible and staff very helpful. The experience has really helped my class to remember their nouns verbs and other parts of speech.”
You can hear the class next Monday morning at 09:15 on KMFM, being interviewed by Adam Dowling. They are also in the Folkestone Herald, Dover Express and Kent Messenger news papers. All of the class have designed their own CD covers. You can download the rap and words by clicking on the link above. There are also photos from the recording session in the Class 3 section (left).
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Ken Peers (the sound engineer); teaching assistants Miss Greenwood and Mrs Rowland as well as parent helpers Mrs Bigington, Mrs Burgess and Mrs Waller. Thank you very much for helping during the recording session.
