In Numeracy we will be continuing to develop mental mathematics skills as well as refining written methods for all four number operations. We will be providing children with many opportunities to work with decimal numbers, introducing percentages and learning about the relationship between percentages, fractions and decimals.

 We will be extending our knowledge of shape, space and measures by working with angles both in and out of shapes (using protractors) and also by looking at more advanced properties of shapes such as parallel and perpendicular lines.

 We will be providing children with many opportunities to solve problems within numeracy lessons and also as extension activities beyond numeracy and in other subject areas where appropriate. Our classroom display will allow children to challenge themselves with different types of problems.
